Lama Surya Das

Lama Surya Das established the Dzogchen Center in 1991 upon the return from twenty years of intensive study and retreat in India, Nepal, and France.

Judi Ricci

Judi Ricci retired in 2008 after a career in public health research. Trained as an anthropologist and epidemiologist, she worked in the fields of human nutrition and chronic and infectious disease both internationally and in the United States. Judi has published many articles and abstracts in scientific journals, has presented at national and international professional organizations, and has been a peer reviewer for a number of scientific journals. She earned a master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in international health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Judi is also a yoga instructor, silversmith, cartoonist, and community volunteer. She regularly practices Tibetan energy yoga, Kundalini yoga, and hatha yoga as a prelude to meditation. Judi has been a student of Lama Surya Das for over 10 years.

Kevin Buck

Kevin Buck is collaborative leadership and executive coach, leveraging more than 30 years of consulting experience to guide organizations toward self-transformation. As the President and Founder of Emergent Success Inc. in 2006, he and his team offer collaborative leadership consulting and advisory services including the following: Executive Coaching (for individuals and teams), Talent Development, Succession Planning, Strategic Planning and Facilitation and Leadership Education. The mission of Emergent Success is to assist individuals, teams and organizations in ‘co-creating’ the optimal conditions for success to emerge.

Kathleen Albanese
Director

After spending many years as a marketing/advertising executive, in the high-tech world, Kathleen took leave to raise her family. In 2009, on the recommendation of a friend, she met and went to work with Lama Surya Das. In May of 2021, Kathleen took over as Director of the Dzogchen Foundation, bringing with her many years of experience working in the non-profit world.
